Encore is not only responsible for amazing wedding DJs and prom DJs, we also providing lighting for events every weekend. For this event, we were specifically hired to give a facelift to a banquet hall in Warren Michigan. We do a lot of parties in this city, and it is only 35 minutes from our main studio. This was a high school Prom, and they wanted the WOW factor for their graduating senior class.

What I loved about this venue, is that it was a blank canvas. Our uplighting gave the perfect touch of class and style to the space. We used roughly 20 fixtures that evenly covered the room. Since it was an underwater theme, we were able to programmed the lights to match with deep blue and cool aqua colors. All we had to do when we finished our setup was dim the hall lighting. It gave a mesmerizing glow that really helped to highlight their decorations.

Their immediate reaction was jaw dropping. As the students started walking through the doors you could hear their compliments. They loved the fact that this year’s Prom was over the top. That was just the beginning of what was to come. The guests had no idea that the lighting could change color with the music. Once the meal was over, we quickly changed the lights to the mood of the prom.

Since our team of designers do a lot of high school prom uplighting, we were able to work closely with their DJ. This way whenever they changed up a song, the lighting went with it. Our system is controlled independently of the entertainment. This means that accent lighting can work with any combination of band or DJ.
