Wixom Sweet 16

Besides wedding receptions, Encore Party DJs does sweet 16’s in Wixom. This event was done for Jasmine at Lyon Oaks Banquet Center in Wixom Michigan. This venue belongs to a chain of popular banquet halls. The facility is known for their exceptional service and salad bar. What I personally enjoy about this venue is that I get the option to make any kind of salad I want. They offer almost every kind of topping that can go on a salad. They look a little dated with the staff attire (everyone looks like they are from a Mary Poppins film). However, we have hosted a lot of events at their venues over the years.

Back to the sweet 16, the family made sure to tie together all the small details for the event. Everything down to the centerpieces was taken care. The client had a theme and made sure that everyone knew what it was. Jasmine invited over 150 of her closest family and friends. At one point during the meal, their was a short presentation. One of Jasmine’s friend played a song that had a choreographed dance. She put a lot of time and thought into the dance. It lasted about 10 minutes and was exhausting just watching. Every gave her a big hand after her performance was done.

Since a majority of the guests were from her high school, the event turned into a small version of a Michigan prom. We had their dance floor completely filled till the end of the party. It was awesome seeing how happy Jasmine’s mom was with our music selection. The guests had nothing but great compliments for us and our staff! It was a mix that kept the younger crowd happy with some classic throwbacks for the older guests. This meant that we would play a Motown set, mix into some 80’s pop  then some top 40.
