South Lyon Backyard Event

Encore was is a Michigan DJ, that can help you with your South Lyon backyard event. This was a double college grad party. The city is already beautiful enough, with it’s rolling hills and hidden lake. On this day, there was not a cloud in the sky for miles. It was held outside, and we had perfect weather. So the client made sure to fire up the grill for all the guests. They had a homemade salsa dip that included a sweet mango sauce, it was really good!

The guest of honor was David and Jimmy who flew in from Virginia to be with close friends and family. Even though it was a long trip, a majority of the family made it out for the celebration. I would have to say that there was about 125 people at the party. The brothers just finished their last classes in college and decided entertainment would compliment their backyard event. They had this really cool looking head table and even did a family tradition of giving roses to their parents. I’ve never seen that done before. The flower ceremony actually made me think of the formalities that usually happen when we DJ weddings. All in all, it was a touching moment for the family when the David and Jimmy brought out the flowers. Also during the event, there were a handful of speeches from family.

Back to the party, it was mainly low-key. So we really didn’t need to play any dance request music, because guests were there for mostly mingling. The type of atmosphere you want to create will usually depend on your guests. Once the sun set, you could see all the stars in the sky as guests stayed for hours talking to the graduates.
